Class Compass is a platform connecting students with online classes taught by independent educators. Search by subject, age, schedule, and more to find the perfect class for you.

How do I choose classes?

Browse our searchable database and filter classes based on your subject, age, grade level, schedule, and learning preferences. You can also search for specific teachers whose style suits you best.

How do I pay for classes?

Payment is handled directly with the teacher. There is no fee for students to use Class Compass — teachers pay a subscription to list classes here so you can explore and enroll for free.

How do I log into classes?

Teachers provide login links or dashboard access upon enrollment, following whatever process each individual teacher has set up for their classes.

What kinds of classes can I take?

Classes range from academic subjects (Math, Science, English) to arts, coding, gaming, tutoring, and even fun social activities. There is something for almost every interest and age group.

Do I get credit for classes?

Credit eligibility varies by state and institution. Check your local school or homeschool requirements to see whether classes on Class Compass qualify. Many homeschool students use our classes as electives and core subjects.

How do I succeed in online learning?

Ensure you have a reliable internet connection and the necessary technology (a device with Zoom installed). Communicate openly with your teacher when you need support, stay organised with assignments and schedules, and set short-term goals to stay motivated. Celebrate your progress!

What technology do I need?

Most classes use Zoom, so you will need a laptop, desktop, tablet, or phone with Zoom installed. Note that Chromebooks can sometimes have compatibility issues with live online classes.

Can I take classes if I have a learning difference?

Absolutely. Many teachers on Class Compass offer ADHD-friendly, dyslexia-friendly, autism-supportive, and other specialised class formats. Use the accessibility filters on the Discover page to find the right fit.

How do I find a specific teacher?

Search by teacher name in the search bar on the homepage or Discover page. You can also browse teacher profiles directly to see their available classes and read testimonials.
